Git connect
Connect a GitHub repository for self-serve deploys
Settings → Git lets you connect a GitHub repository to your org so Apps can deploy from source — self-serve, no infrastructure tickets.
What it does
The Git connect flow installs the uRun GitHub integration on the repositories you choose. Once connected, an App can be wired to a repo, and the post-connect call to action lives on the App's Git card in App detail.
Connecting a repo, step by step
- Open Settings → Git and connect GitHub, choosing which repositories the uRun integration can access.
- Open the App you want to deploy from source (Compute → Apps → your App) and use the Git card on App detail to wire it to one of the connected repos.
- From there the App deploys from the repo's source instead of an
urun deployupload.
This is the console equivalent of running urun deploy from a
checkout of the same repo — same content-addressed build, just kicked off from the connected
source rather than your terminal.
When to use it
- Connect the repo that holds your uRun App so deploys can originate from it.
- Wire an App that was registered in the console to its source repository.
- Set up the repository side of a frontend's deploy pipeline.
Git connect is fully self-serve from the console. To deploy an App directly from your terminal instead, use
urun deploy.
